Minutes, records and rankings tell different stories
Four minutes for one artist and two for another add up to six minutes. Repeated records describe repeated recorded activity; a long track can lead on time without leading on record count. A ranking from Spotify’s account API uses a different method again. Keep the source, date range and unit with every number.
The local dashboard supplies an artist-time graphic, track and album tables, observed-date information and a CSV summary. It does not infer genres or provide a live feed of your account. For all-time questions, the result can cover only the records you actually import.
Track your listening over time
For a monthly or weekly review, import your available history and choose comparable custom dates. The dashboard is an on-demand calculation, not a background Spotify tracker: it cannot see new plays until you supply a new export. Save each period’s summary with its source dates.

The example requires no file. Your own analysis uses downloaded JSON, with processing in the browser. It does not ask for a password, token or email. Read the method and limits before interpreting a result, and use Clear everything when you finish.
